Week #336 \u2013 \u201cI believe in you!\u201d (Encourage someone today!)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Greetings Tribe \u2014 and Happy Friday!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This time a year I’m always reminded of that time SpreadHappyness was featured in a coloring book!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So here\u2019s a look back at Week #74<\/a>\u2026and a little reminder:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I believe in you! (Now go encourage someone today!)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To recap: Spread Happyness was featured in a coloring book back in 2016. I had interviewed Scott Cuzzo of SpryMind<\/a> in November 2015<\/a> as part of my \u201cHappyness in Action\u201d series.  Scott spreads happiness by creating coloring books that are good for adults of all ages and genders.  His most recent release at that time, \u201cBelieve!\u201d<\/a>, featured over two-dozen positive quotes and thoughts on the word \u201cBelieve\u201d \u2014 including one from yours truly!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the time of the release, I had been traveling for an entire month \u2014 stripped of all the things that kept me focused, busy, on purpose, and pleasantly distracted in the year after losing my brother. Now, away from home and my work routines, I was left with an abundance of time to be out in the world. And honestly, it just made me miss Rob even more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was enough to make me want to get back on a plane and head home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But I made myself stay. Reminded,\u00a0once again<\/a>, that if I can sit with it long enough — there was presence in the absence. Years later now, there still is. \u00a0In every new experience, there is a painful reminder that he is gone for good. I cannot text him or call, cannot share the latest laugh, or ridiculousness, or Super Bowl\u00a0commentary. Yet somehow, my relationship with him continues. He still shows up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even six-plus years later.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s a rock and a hard place. \u00a0Which reminds me of the coloring page that Scott drew for my quote, and my own interpretation of his drawing. \u00a0To me it was a rock \u2014 buried in a pile of other rocks \u2014 perhaps looking for a way out, or a way to the top, or encouraging another rock to do what seems impossible: BELIEVE!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your Happyness Challenge for the Week Ahead:<\/strong>\u00a0BELIEVE IN SOMEONE!!!<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Rob loved to encourage people. \u00a0Even if he didn\u2019t always believe in himself \u2014 he always took time to believe in others. \u00a0If you know someone who\u2019s between a rock and a hard place \u2014 take time to say \u201cI believe in you!\u201d \u00a0Send them a note, share this page, roll up your sleeves, or sit down and color with them while they sort it all out!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And if it\u2019s you that\u2019s feeling discouraged this week\u2026then this post is for you!  \u201cI believe in you!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
